General Chemistry Molecular Model Kit, ChemKits, Inc.

This is a molecular model kit by ChemKits, Inc. designed to help students taking and studying College level General Chemistry. The kits consist of metal clusters as the atoms and colored tubing representing the bonds made to other atoms. Using the tubing the atoms are interconnected to construct three dimensional models of molecules making it easier to see their shape and the relative arrangement of the atoms. Drawing Lewis structures can often leave students confused about the actual 3D geometry of the molecule. These models will not only help with that but give valuable insights into molecular polarity and geometric isomerism of co-ordinations compounds. Cis and trans and medial and facial geometric isomers and stereo isomers like R and S mirror images as well as structural isomers of both Organic and Inorganic molecules will be easily understood. The metal clusters included are suitable for creating linear, angular, trigonal planar, tetrahedral, trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral geometries. There are enough pieces to build a multitude of molecules containing atoms that are color coded like Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, Fluorine, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Sulfur, Phosphorus and others. The kits are small and easily back packed for students. Visit for more photos and videos on how to use these kits.
